Your data,
plainly.
404skill is built so most pages can be served and played without ever knowing who you are. Here is exactly what is collected, what is not, and how to turn it off.
What is collected
Vercel Web Analytics. Page views, referrer, country, browser, and device class — recorded in aggregate by Vercel. No cookies, no fingerprints, no cross-site tracking, no advertising profile. Vercel publishes the full disclosure at vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.
Game progress in your browser. Some games (Wordle, 2048, Connect 4, Snake, and a few others) save settings, statistics, or high scores to your browser'slocalStorageso a refresh does not lose your run. That data never leaves your device. Clear your browser storage to reset it.
Server logs. The hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived request logs for operational and abuse-prevention purposes. These include IP address and user-agent and are retained per Vercel's default policy.
What is not collected
- · No accounts, no sign-ups, no email list.
- · No third-party ad networks or marketing pixels.
- · No cross-site tracking cookies.
- · No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
- · No fingerprint or behavioral profile across visits.
How to opt out
Vercel Web Analytics respects the Do Not Track browser setting. Enable it in your browser's privacy preferences and pageviews from your device will not be recorded. A network-level blocker (Brave, uBlock Origin, NextDNS, Pi-hole) also works.
To remove locally stored game progress, clear site data for 404skill.com in your browser's privacy settings.
